26 February 2009: Clinical Medicine in the Genome Era

An International Symposium to review recent developments and current trends in the applications of genome science and technology to clinical medicine and population health.

Sessions will include: Pharmacogenomics, Translational Medicine, and Personalised Medicine. Featured speakers include: Sir David Weatherall of Oxford University, Muin Khoury of CDC Centre for Population Genomics, and Ron Zimmern of the PHG Foundation.

3 May 2009: Genes for Health Conference

Conference organised by GRaPH-Int (Genome-based Research and Population Health International Network) and HGSA (Human Genetics Society of Australia).

The conference will bring together international experts in the field of basic genetic science, bioethicists, educators, genetic service providers, genetic counsellors, public health professionals, health service researchers, social marketers, primary care practitioners, health psychologists, policy makers and the public.

The focus of the conference is on the translation of genetic research into community benefit and will address globally relevant genetic issues.
